Customer purchased new kia cerato hatchback, wants hard copy workshop manual instead of app due to age and lack of expertise.
I have a month ago, purchased a brand new Kia Cerato Hatchback from Kia Morley, Western Australia. After spending $30,000 plus on a brand new car, I expect it to have a vehicle workshop manual accompanying it. I was told that I will have to download an app to get information on the features of my new car and for troubleshooting any issues I have with it. This is not good enough. One would expect that after paying $30 odd thousand dollars for the vehicle, I could at least expect a booklet (manual) with it. I am 75 with years old and am not au fait with the app system of access and though I have tried several times, can't get it on to my phone. Besides I don't see why I must open an app on my phone to read any information that should be printed out so people can read and thoroughly understand the instructions for features and problems that occur with the vehicle. After several attempts, I have had it downloaded onto a thumb drive as it is 648 pages long, - ridiculous - to have it printed out so that I can have a hard copy and it will cost me an arm and a leg to have it printed I'd like to have a hard copy as I would like to read and thoroughly understand the workings of my new vehicle and the dos and don'ts of it. I am writing to you to please ask if you would be able to send me a workshop manual so that I can have a hard copy. I think the cost I have already paid for the car, should far outweigh the cost to the Kia company to supply a workshop manual to those of us (pensioners and elderly) who do not have the expertise required for the apps. I would appreciate your consideration be given to me by supplying the manual. Thanking you.
